In a post on the Pokémon GO subreddit, user DaringDani123 explains why players should consider opting out of the new Terms of Service. According to the revamped terms, any disputes must be filed directly with Niantic and go through the "Informal Dispute Resolution" process. This involves sending a notice via email or regular mail, followed by a conference for settlement. If the dispute isn't resolved within 45 days, it proceeds to binding arbitration handled by the National Arbitration & Mediation, previously the American Arbitration Association.

By agreeing to these terms, players waive their constitutional and statutory rights to sue Niantic in court or have a trial before a judge or jury. Additionally, the terms include a waiver of class and other non-individualized relief, meaning users can only bring claims as individuals, and no collective relief will be granted.
