Apex Legends Bloodhound Receives Significant Nerf in Upcoming Collection Event

Apex Legends' Bloodhound is set to receive a significant nerf with the release of the new Double Take collection event, causing concern among longtime players. Bloodhound, one of the original legends introduced when Electronic Arts (EA) launched Apex Legends in early 2019, has always been a key part of the game's meta. However, players are speculating that the upcoming changes might alter this fact.

Apex Legends is known for making major changes to characters and weapons, often without regard for the current meta. Over time, Bloodhound has undergone several adjustments, both nerfs and buffs. None of these previous changes, however, compare to the upcoming nerf announced for the Double Take collection event, set to release on June 25, 2024.

According to EA's patch notes, Bloodhound's Ultimate ability will receive a substantial nerf, removing the legend's threat vision through smoke or gas. This ability, which has been a crucial part of Bloodhound's effectiveness, will no longer highlight enemies in red through Bangalore's smoke or Caustic's gas. In addition to nerfing Bloodhound's Ultimate, EA is also modifying one of the best level upgrade sets in Apex Legends related to the recon legend. The level 2 upgrade, Raven's Blessing, which improved the Ultimate's charge rate, will be reduced from 25% to 20%, slowing the Ultimate's recharge rate. Furthermore, the previous level 3 upgrades that enhanced Bloodhound's Ultimate and health points with knocks will be replaced by two new upgrades: Sighthound and Flock. Sighthound will reduce Bloodhound's Tactical cooldown by 50% if the Ultimate is active, while Flock will remove the range requirements for White Ravens.

These changes have sparked significant debate within the Apex Legends community, as players worry about how these nerfs will affect Bloodhound's viability and the overall game meta.
