Stray Set to Pounce onto Nintendo Switch with Visual Compromises

The critically acclaimed cat adventure game, Stray, is making its way to the Nintendo Switch, albeit with noticeable graphical reductions compared to its Xbox, PlayStation, and PC versions. The announcement was part of Nintendo's action-packed June 18 Direct, which also featured new game reveals like "The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom," "Mario and Luigi: Brothership," and an eagerly anticipated update on "Metroid Prime 4: Beyond."

Stray allows players to navigate a dystopian, cyberpunk city as a stray cat amidst a society of humanoid robots. Since its debut as a PlayStation timed exclusive in 2022, where it contended for Game of the Year at The Game Awards, Stray has captured the hearts of gamers and made successful transitions to Xbox consoles by August 2023.

With the holiday release window still ahead, developer BlueTwelve Studio may have time to refine the Switch version's visuals.
