Pokémon GO Developer Hints at Future Inclusion of Galar Pokémon

A Pokémon GO developer recently addressed the absence of Galar Pokémon in the game and hinted at potential changes on the horizon. Out of the 112 Pokémon introduced in the Galar region, only 20 are currently available in Pokémon GO, leaving many fan favorites missing.

Players have been vocal about their desire to see more Galar Pokémon added to the game. The Galar region debuted in Pokémon Sword and Shield, the first mainline series entries for the Nintendo Switch. As Pokémon Sword and Shield approach their five-year anniversary, fans have expressed dissatisfaction with the slow inclusion of Galar Pokémon in the mobile augmented reality game. However, there is a rationale behind this delay.

In an interview with Dot Esports, Pokémon GO director Michael Steranka discussed the issue. When asked about the lack of Galar Pokémon, Steranka couldn't specify when more would be added. However, he assured that the development team is aware of the demand and is planning to introduce more Galar Pokémon in the future. He encouraged fans to "stay tuned," noting that the team is eager to release these additions.
