MultiVersus Temporarily Disables Overpowered Character, the Iron Giant

Responding to community feedback regarding issues with a particular character, MultiVersus has opted to temporarily disable the Iron Giant. Within the game, players can select characters from various Warner Bros. IPs, engaging in Super Smash Bros.-esque battles. Among these characters is the Iron Giant, a beloved figure from the 1990s.

Originating from the renowned 1999 film of the same name, the Iron Giant's narrative centers on a massive alien robot forming a bond with a young boy after landing on Earth. In MultiVersus, the Iron Giant embodies the archetype of tank characters: slow-moving yet boasting formidable defense and firepower.

Despite his substantial size, engaging the Iron Giant in combat has proven challenging, as the character proves to be an imposing adversary. In response, the developers have taken the significant step of temporarily removing the Iron Giant from all game modes.

In an announcement via the official MultiVersus Twitter profile, the developers acknowledged issues surrounding the Iron Giant's gameplay without specifying the exact nature of the problems. During this period of unavailability, players will have the opportunity to utilize Garnet, who joins the roster as part of the weekly rotation of free fighters.

Although Player First Games has not divulged specifics regarding the Iron Giant's temporary disablement in MultiVersus, the game's community has experienced frustrations due to a glitch associated with the character. This glitch allows players to execute at least four "touch-of-death combos" with relative ease, starting from 0% damage and culminating in the opponent's defeat.
