master Warhammer 40000: Boltgun Expansion Announced

Developer Auroch Digital is working on a new expansion for its celebrated retro shooter, Warhammer 40000: Boltgun. Based on the iconic Warhammer 40K setting, Boltgun first released on May 23, 2023, putting the expansion's announcement right on time for the base game to celebrate its first anniversary. Recent years have seen a number of new releases based on Games Workshop's beloved far-future setting. Even major franchises like Call of Duty featured a Warhammer 40K crossover that added Space Marine and Astra Militarum-themed cosmetics to the normally realistic aesthetic of Modern Warfare 3.

Meanwhile, Warhammer 40000: Boltgun blended the exaggerated violence of 40K with the fast-paced mobility of a retro shooter, taking inspirations from genre classics like Doom and Quake.As the game turns a year old, publisher Focus Entertainment revealed at the recent Warhammer Skulls event that its expansion for Warhammer 40000: Boltgun is called Forges of Corruption. It'll add new stages and more tools to the already-considerable arsenal of the best Warhammer 40000: Boltgun weapons. The expansion will launch on June 18, 2024 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and Xbox One. The Switch version of the expansion will launch later, at an unspecified date.
