Genshin Impact Version 5.2 Banners to Feature Zhongli, Neuvillette, and Lyney Alongside New Characters

Recent information from the Genshin Impact beta servers reveals that Zhongli, Neuvillette, and Lyney will join the new character Chasca on the Event Banners in Version 5.2. While the number of playable characters has multiplied since the game’s release, the community has long hoped for a more equitable rotation of Event Banners. After the introduction of double Banners in Version 2.3, many players expected that triple Banners would eventually follow.

In Version 4.5, Genshin Impact introduced the Chronicled Banner, a feature designed to spotlight multiple limited characters on a single Banner. However, its implementation faced criticism due to its short duration, separate pity system, and uncertainty about its return. With the growing roster of characters, older characters like Shenhe, Ganyu, and Kokomi have been overshadowed by the new arrivals from Fontaine.

Version 5.2 is set to introduce two new characters: Chasca, a 5-Star Anemo Main DPS, and Ororon, a 4-Star Electro Sub DPS. According to a recent datamine by HomDGCat, the first half of Version 5.2’s Event Banners will feature Chasca and Lyney, while the second half will be headlined by Zhongli and Neuvillette. The 4-Star characters set to accompany them include Ororon, Heizou, and Fischl. Fischl, in particular, is an exciting pull for players, as her last appearance was in Version 4.1.

With both Chasca and Lyney using Bows, the corresponding Weapon Banner will likely be highly desirable, as it will feature The First Great Magic and Astral Vulture's Crimson Plumage, both of which are powerful weapons even for other characters like Tighnari. The second half of the patch will showcase two highly sought-after characters, with Neuvillette recognized as one of the best hypercarries, and Zhongli offering unmatched versatility and comfort.

Ororon’s ability kit focuses on buffs to the Electro-Charged playstyle, making him a fitting addition to Neuvillette's Banner during the second half of Version 5.2. While the Event Banners are strong, they continue to sideline other characters. Notably, Wriothesley, who debuted in Version 4.1, is missing from the lineup, and characters like Shenhe and Ganyu have been absent from Banners for over 500 days, despite receiving new outfits in Version 4.4. As players continue to call for the introduction of triple Banners, it remains to be seen how HoYoverse will address the growing demand for fairer character rotations.
