According to a new report from a well-known industry insider, the developers of Assassin's Creed Shadows have been pushing for a delay for months until Ubisoft finally agreed. Ubisoft, best known for its Assassin's Creed franchise, announced in an email signed by Chief Studios and Portfolio Officer Marie-Sophie de Waubert that it intended to implement a hybrid model requiring employees to work in the office at least three days a week. A French union has since criticized this policy, arguing that it could be detrimental to the workforce. Le Syndicat des Travailleurs et Travailleuses du Jeu Vidéo (STJV), a union representing French video game industry workers, called on all Ubisoft employees in France to express their dissatisfaction with the hybrid setup by participating in a strike from October 15 to October 17.
