De Fondaumière clarified that this milestone reflects paid units sold, excluding downloads from PS Plus. In his tweet, he expressed the team's gratitude, saying, "You mean the world to us, and we couldn't have achieved this incredible milestone without every single one of you!" It took Detroit: Become Human just over six years to reach 10 million sales, doubling the five million units it had sold by 2020. In the comments of de Fondaumière’s post, many fans celebrated this achievement. One fan commented, "One of the best games ever made," while another praised the developers, saying, "You deserve it.
