A recent leak has revealed the potential release window for Phrolova, a character fans of Wuthering Waves have eagerly anticipated. Introduced in Chapter 1, Acts 3 and 4 of the Main Quest, Phrolova left a lasting impression on players as one of the Overseers of Fractsidus, an organization intent on accelerating the next Lament. Her role in the Tacet Discord outbreak displayed her formidable power, solidifying her as a memorable and mysterious figure within the game. As a Resonator with the Tacet Mark on her right arm, Phrolova’s playable debut has been eagerly awaited by the community.
According to a leak from the trusted source StepLeaks, Phrolova’s first banner may arrive with Wuthering Waves Version 2.0, possibly launching in mid-December if the game continues its usual update schedule. Previous rumors had pointed to Version 1.4 as the final update set in the Huanglong nation, signaling a shift in content with Version 2.0, and potentially making Phrolova’s debut one of the update's highlights.
The leak suggests Phrolova will take on the role of the primary antagonist in the Version 2.0 Main Quest. Additionally, it hints at future patches extending to Version 2.8, which may introduce a new nation, Solaris-3. Though developer Kuro Games has yet to confirm these updates, Version 1.4 is reportedly set for a mid-November release, along with potential skins for Jinhsi and Sanhua, with the latter possibly available for free.
Since its global launch, Wuthering Waves has grown substantially in popularity, at times nearly matching Genshin Impact in revenue. Kuro Games has also confirmed a PS5 version in development, which could expand the game’s reach. With Phrolova’s rumored release approaching, she could serve as a major draw for both current and returning players. However, until Kuro Games makes an official announcement, fans should view these leaks with caution. Meanwhile, players can pull for Jiyan in the current banner or look forward to Camellya and Lumi’s debut in Version 1.3.
